Getting Here and Around

Several trams travel to St. Kilda from central Melbourne. Trams 96 (from Bourke Street) and 12 (from Collins Street) head east–west through the city center, then go all the way south to St. Kilda. Tram 16 runs to St. Kilda from Melbourne University along Swanston Street, as does Tram 3A at weekends. A good place to board these latter two trams is the stop between Flinders Street Station and Federation Square. It's a pleasant ride down St. Kilda Road into Fitzroy Street and past the bay.
